Question 3

Question 3

The Correct Answer Is: TRUE

John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (NKJV)

Acts 4:5-12: "5 And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, 6 as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, "By what power or by what name have you done this?" 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.'  12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (NKJV)

Almost every religion out there claims that it is the only true religion, and Christianity is not different.  Jesus clearly said that nobody could approach God the Father, except through Him.  Jesus' apostles clearly taught that Jesus is the only way to Heaven.  What makes the Bible different is how many different people penned the different books of the Bible and over what time period.  Many of the religious texts out there were penned by one prophet claiming to be inspired of God, and you have to take their word on it.  The Bible, though inspired of God, was penned over 1500 years by about 40 different people.  These people came from different backgrounds.  Some were religiously educated and some were not.  And yet, when you read the entire Bible, they all agree with one another.  They all paint the same picture of God.  They all agree, and are accurate when they record similar history.  And they all teach salvation the same way: by grace through faith.  Moreover, the writers invite people to scrutinize their writings and compare them with each other, something that is not generally acceptable in other religions (Acts 17:11).  A collection of books, such as the Bible is, cannot be a product of men's minds, for it would contain errors of fact and doctrine.  Therefore when it says that Jesus is the only way to Heaven, that is something we need to believe.
